Relaxing Oatmeal Bath With Homemade Remedy For Irritated Skin!

The benefits of colloidal oatmeal in skin care

Oatmeal is not only a breakfast staple, but also an excellent skin care product. Doctors often recommend oat-based remedies to relieve not only itching caused by dry skin, but also skin irritation for eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. An oat bath can even help relieve burning pain from insect bites, sunburns, hives and poison ivy.

To get the most out of oats for skin care, it’s important to use colloidal oats (or toloko). The term “colloidal” means that the oats are finely ground and mixed with water to form a mixture similar to oat milk.

The value of colloidal clod is that it can help form protective layers of the skin. The polysaccharides, proteins and lipids in oats contribute to this. Oats also contain vitamin E and enzymes that are useful sources of antioxidants. In addition, oats contain saponins, so they are good for cleansing and refreshing your skin without relying on store-bought soaps.

Organic colloidal oats provide these benefits without the use of unnecessary chemicals. It’s a safe and natural way to care for your skin. In fact, you can take an oat bath for relaxation anytime, not just when your skin is irritated.

Recipe for homemade oatmeal bath remedy

When itching and irritation are a concern, this homemade oat-based bath remedy can be a simple solution.

Ingredients

1 cup oatmeal flakes

2 Tbsp dried goat’s milk

Warm water

2 tablespoons avocado oil

Preparation

Put the oats in a food processor, blender or coffee grinder. Choose the maximum grind mode to get the finest grind possible.

Check to see if the oats are ground enough. Pour warm water into a glass and add a pinch of oats. Stir it around. If the oats dissolve in the water and the water looks like milk without liquids or sediment, then the oats have dissolved well enough. If not, place the dry ingredients in a gauze bag before adding them to the bath water.

Add dried goat’s milk to the ground oats.

Fill the tub with warm water. Pour the oat mixture directly into the water or tie a gauze bag to the faucet so that running water will flow through it.

Pour avocado oil into the tub. Stir gently.

Lie down in the tub and enjoy! After about 10 minutes, rinse your body with clean water.
